Tori Spelling shuts down ‘horrific’ report that she ‘trashed’ rental home — and landlord backs her up
Tori Spelling denies she “completely trashed” the rental home she recently moved out of.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star had her former landlord and temporary housing manager Katie on Friday’s episode of her “MisSpelling” podcast to set the record straight about the Daily Mail’s Tuesday report.
Spelling, 51, insisted it was “totally false” to imply she had left behind the smell of urine and “marks all over the walls,” as the outlet claimed.
As for the furniture photographed outside the house, Katie clarified that it was “a couple years old” and getting rid of it “had nothing to do with” the actress and her five kids.
“You’ve been a great tenant, and I have nothing but good things to say about you and my experience with you,” she gushed.
“I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous in my life,” Katie continued. “We replace furniture all the time in these properties. … This is actually crazy to me that anybody would take the time to take pictures of a debris pickup from the city.”

Spelling went on to admit that she is not the “cleanest, most organized person” on the planet, calling her life with Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7, “messy” and “chaotic.”
However, she noted, “We lead with our hearts, and I would never trash somebody’s property. … Putting out false stories is just incredibly awful and hurtful on a really deep level to people.”
While she “usually [doesn’t] say anything,” the rental home report was “too much” and “pushed [her] as a mom.”
Spelling and Katie speculated on the identity of the “neighbor” who allegedly expressed doubt to the newspaper about the star not getting her $7,500 security deposit back.
“I’d be shocked if that covered all the damages,” the mystery person said. “It would cost at least that much to just replace the two couches.”
Spelling shares her kids with estranged husband Dean McDermott.
Since their 2023 split, Spelling has lived in two long-term rentals, she exited due to a mold infestation in one and a hostage situation in the other, as well as a cheap motel and a motor home.
The “Stori Telling” author also briefly stayed in pal Josh Flagg’s mansion.
She insisted in Friday’s episode that they have a “permanent residence now” but did not divulge any further details.
