Bienvenidos.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived in Bogotá, Colombia Thursday for the start of their four-day visit to the South American country, and the duchess looked sleek in a new navy outfit.
The 43-year-old royal wore a halter-style vest by Veronica Beard ($598) for the couple’s first day of the trip, pairing the piece — which featured tortoiseshell buttons and a collar — with matching cropped trousers ($448) from the brand.
She wore her hair pulled back in a sleek bun to meet Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez and her partner, Rafael Yerney Pinillo, accessorizing with Pippa Small stud earrings ($680), black pumps and an ivory Loro Piana bag ($4,700).
Prince Harry, 39, coordinated with his wife in shades of blue, wearing a navy suit and a light blue dress shirt.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Márquez for tea and coffee along with traditional Colombian cheese bread, discussing their shared wishes for a better digital future amid the Sussexes announcing their Parents’ Network project earlier this month.
This is the second time in recent days the duchess has rocked a sharp vest and trousers, with the mom of two stepping out in a beige look by St. Agni for the G9 Ventures Summer Summit in late July.
As for the background of the Sussexes’ visit, Márquez said in a press conference Thursday, “I met them in the media but above all I saw the series on Netflix about her life and her story and that moved me and motivated me to say: this is a woman who deserves to come to our country and tell her story.”
Watch this space for Meghan’s next Colombian fashion win.
