The (super)stars and stripes were out in full force at this summer’s Olympics.
Everyone from Lady Gaga to Nina Dobrev to Martha Stewart stepped out in style to support Team USA, making fashion-filled appearances on the Olympics’ first-ever red carpet and beyond.
And while gold, silver and bronze were the name of the game for athletes, plenty of stars sported styles from Melinda Maria, a brand whose wares will run you far less than precious metals.
Gaga set the trend early, leaving her hotel in the brand’s She’s So Smooth Button Earrings ($78) following her performance at the opening ceremony.

The J.Lo-loved baubles weren’t the only Melinda Maria designs in her suitcase however, as Gaga was also spotted in the silver Mama Serpent Collar ($158) the same week.

Perhaps she played a game of telephone with her fellow famous folks in attendance, as Nina Dobrev doubled up on the brand’s budget-friendly bling during the Games, too.
The “Vampire Diaries” star wore the silver Queen’s Hoops ($68) and Thick Ass Pavé Ring ($58) to a Ralph Lauren event celebrating Team USA, before dripping in more diamond-like styles — the “Oh She Fancy” Triple Diamond Hoops ($78) and Grand Heiress Tennis Bracelet ($98) — for an outing with boyfriend Shaun White.

She wasn’t the only star serving up tennis-inspired style, either, as Emma Roberts posted an Instagram snap sporting the Baroness Tennis Necklace ($185) in Paris.

Even former Olympian and gold medalist Nastia Liukin reached for Melinda Maria while in the City of Light, opting for the brand’s gold hammered “She’s So Smooth” Hoops ($58).

Melinda Maria’s jewelry is a major hit outside of the Olympics as well, as we’ve spotted everyone from Taylor Swift to Hailey Bieber to the Kardashian-Jenners wearing its pieces over the years.
Maria herself told Page Six Style celebrity stylists often use her bling in place of precious jewels thanks to its luxe look, explaining, “We have stylists always say, ‘Oh my god, I love putting it on my client because it looks so expensive and they look amazing in it … but I don’t have to worry about if they lose it or not.”
And when it comes to nailing that red carpet look for less, Melinda Maria is going for the gold.
