Plenty of stars have Spanx to thank for their wardrobe staples.
Oprah’s sang the brand’s praises on several “Favorite Things” lists over the years, calling its original Perfect Pant “ultra-flattering” in 2019.
And on Wednesday, Spanx updated the media mogul’s beloved Perfect collection — now dubbed the PerfectFit range — with three new styles enhanced with its new Spanxsmooth technology: the Ponte Micro Flare Pant ($148), Ponte Barrel Leg Pant ($148) and Ponte Cropped Wide Leg Pant ($148).

The brand’s signature smoothing ponte fabric has always offered a balance of compression and stretch, as Oprah spotlighted when she tested the original version years ago.
“In sizes XS to 3X, they have built-in tummy control, so you don’t need to wear compression gear underneath — you’re already Spanxed!” she raved, adding that she even called Spanx founder Sara Blakely to “applaud her” after slipping on the style.
And the new Spanxsmooth offerings come powered by Spanx’s CoreSure Tech, which offers an even more targeted (but still stretchy!) smoothing effect from tummy to hip.

Since earning the superstar’s sought-after stamp of approval, Spanx has introduced many more Perfect Pant styles — in addition to growing the collection to include a Perfect Overlay Dress ($188), Perfect Asymmetrical Blazer ($228) and more.
And when Page Six staffers put the PerfectFit Ponte Flare Pant ($148) to the test, we found it lived up to the “perfect” moniker.
“The pants were extremely comfortable; they felt like a legging, but with a little more compression,” Page Six Lead Video Editor/Producer Taylor Valentine raved earlier this year.
Spanx’s PerfectFit collection isn’t the only place you’ll find Oprah and editor favorites, either, as the media mogul once dubbed the AirEssentials Half Zip ($128) and Wide Leg Pant ($138) her “new leisure suit.”
