‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ star Tammy Slaton reveals dramatic weight loss
Tammy Slaton showed off her impressive weight loss after undergoing bariatric surgery last year.
The 36-year-old has now lost nearly 300 pounds, according to the US Sun, and gave fans a glimpse at her leaner physique on Instagram Tuesday.
In the photos, the reality star sat outside while enjoying a sunny day. Although she still needs some assistance from oxygen tubes, fans were quick to praise Slaton for her much slimmer appearance.
“Wow, what a big difference keep going Tammy,” oner user commented, while another added, “I think I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU 👏.”
“Gotta admit Tammy, you proved a whole lot of us wrong. Way to go & keep it up! 👏👏👏👏👏👏,” a third chimed in.
A few days prior, a mixed martial arts company called Southern Indiana Combat Production gave fans a better look at Slaton’s transformation in a series of photos posted on Facebook.
In the snaps, the TLC star — who used to weigh over 700 lbs — was seen standing up without the assistance of her wheelchair for the first time in years.
She was accompanied by her co-star and sister, Amy Slaton, as the pair held up a championship belt while smiling for photos.
The drastic change comes after Tammy spent time in a food rehab center after struggling to reach her goal weight to qualify for bariatric surgery.
During the most recent episode of the TLC series, Tammy finally tipped the scale and was approved for the life-saving procedure.
Fast forward to today, and it looks like things have paid off for the reality star.
While Tammy was recovering from the surgery, she also met her now-husband, Caleb Willingham.
The pair got engaged in October 2022 after just three weeks of dating. They tied the knot one month later during an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family.
However, fans have since voiced their concerns over Willingham’s “creepy” behavior, accusing him of being “controlling” and “stalking” Tammy.
“1000-Lb. Sisters” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. on TLC.
