‘1,000-Lb. Sisters’ star Tammy Slaton speaks on husband Caleb’s death: ‘Loved him dearly’

Tammy Slaton released a statement following the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham.

“1000-Lb. Sisters” star Tammy Slaton is heartbroken over the the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham.

“I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing,” the reality star, 36, told People on Saturday.

“He was my best friend and I loved him dearly.”

Slaton continued, “When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me.

“Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

Willingham’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

TLC, the network behind Slaton’s reality show, added in a statement to People, “We are deeply saddened to learn of Caleb Willingham’s passing.

“Our condolences go out to Tammy, his family and friends at this difficult time.”

The couple met while both Slaton and Willingham were in an Ohio rehab facility to treat obesity.

Slaton and Willingham, 40, met in 2022 while they were both at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Ohio to treat obesity.

The reality star had been in the treatment center for 14 months in order to lose enough weight to qualify for weight loss surgery.

Willingham proposed to Slaton in October 2022, and they tied the knot a month later at the rehab center where they met.

“Our wedding day was perfect, there was so much love in the room,” Slaton told People at the time. “I literally married my best friend.”

“I love waking up every morning and seeing his face. And seeing his face every night before going to bed.”

However, Slaton reportedly ended things with Willingham in May because he had not been “following his diet in rehab.” Page Six has not independently confirmed those claims.
