Sabrina Carpenter strips down for Kim Kardashian’s new Skims campaign: ‘The Swiftie universe has glitched’
Have we got “Bad Blood”?
Sabrina Carpenter stuns in a series of ’90s-inspired images for Skims’ latest lingerie campaign — but some Taylor Swift fans are wondering what the “Cruel Summer” singer thought of her pal’s decision to support rival Kim Kardashian’s brand.
Carpenter, 24 — who opened up for Swift numerous times during her Eras Tour around the world — wears a pink lace corset ($64) with side-tie panties ($20) in one image as she talks on a cordless phone in the shoot, wearing a tiny pink bow in her hair.
The “Feather” singer laid on a retro blue carpet as she listened to a Discman in another pic, sporting a mint green long-sleeved tee ($56) and boy shorts ($22) with ruffled white ankle socks.
Carpenter donned a split-front babydoll top ($58) and a sassy pink minidress ($68) in other images, praising the “femininity of the whole creative” in a press release.
“I feel very excited Skims chose me to be the face of this campaign as I’ve always been a fan of the brand,” the pop star said.
And the mom of four had kind words for the pint-sized pop star too, writing in the press release, “Sabrina is not only a very talented musician, but she also has a fashion sense and an ‘it’ factor that really resonates with the next generation.”
She continued, “With her upcoming Coachella debut, there couldn’t be a better time to have her star in a Skims campaign. Her talent and playful style brings a new energy to these collections, and the campaign is so fun!”
But considering Kardashian and Swift have been feuding since 2016 after the Skims founder leaked a phone call between the “Getaway Car” singer and Kanye West, some Swifties wondered why Carpenter — a close friend of Swift — would model for Skims.

“The Swiftie crossover I never saw coming,” one person commented on Kardashian’s Instagram post while another said, “the swiftie universe has glitched.” Fans called her a “marketing genius” and a “PR queen.”
“how she gonna open for Taylor swift then work with Kim Kardashian” one fan commented on Pop Base’s post on X (formerly known as Twitter), while another wrote, “DOES TAYLOR KNOW.”
Others seemed to have no issue with the collab, like one who tweeted, “Bc she’s a free woman and can do what she wants lmao. Everything is business.”
“baby if Taylor doesn’t mind Selena and Lana advertising for Kim’s brand or Gigi Hadid being friends with the Kardashians, I think she shouldn’t mind Sabrina either because Taylor is an adult and mature woman unlike her fans, that is just an excuse to cancel Sabrina again,” another X user added.

Indeed, tons of other Swift BFFs have taken their turns modeling for Skims, including Brittany Mahomes, who was slammed as “traitorous” by Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy.
After Swift’s Time magazine “Person of the Year” cover story in 2023 — which detailed the fallout between the pop superstar and Skims founder — TMZ revealed that Kardashian has reportedly never apologized for leaking the call.
Despite the hubbub, Carpenter got plenty of support on her own Instagram post announcing her lingerie campaign, with boyfriend Barry Keoghan commenting, “🔥🥵 barbie emoji.”
As for the new Skims collection, set your timers for Wednesday at noon EST to grab the latest drop before it’s a swift sellout.
