Emily Cooper is back — and so is her colorful, kooky wardrobe.
The first part of Season 4 of the Netflix hit dropped on Thursday, August 15 (a second batch of episodes is coming September 12), and sees Lily Collins’ titular character continuing to navigate love triangles and office etiquette in the City of Light.
And while fashion’s always been a highlight of the series, expect Emily’s outfits to be “more European-inspired” this time around, as Collins told Netflix.
“I felt like Emily had graduated fashion class and came back this year with a bit more tenacity and strength in her fashion choices, different brands that she’s choosing, and we drew in different inspirations,” she shared.
Since this season was filmed during the fall and winter, Collins added, “we’re incorporating new textures, coats, and boots … We wanted to transition to different shapes of heels and something a bit more comfortable, and we’ve also added many different types of layers.”
Expect (gasp!) flats and sneakers, more than a few sartorial salutes to Audrey Hepburn and even a trouser suit or two; “Emily’s literally wearing the pants now,” as Collins put it.
Of course, her seemingly endless racks of designer duds are out of reach for most of us. But if you’re looking to incorporate the show’s signature style into your own closet, options abound — and we’ve shopped out several of Emily’s Season 4 looks for less below.
After all, as the series’ costume designer Marilyn Fitoussi once told Page Six Style: “Life is too short to wear boring clothes.”
