Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld become empty nesters as they share rare pic of son Shepherd starting college
Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld have an empty nest.
The couple dropped off their youngest son, Shepherd, at Duke University in North Carolina over the weekend.
Jessica, 52, shared a rare shot with her husband, 70, and their 20-year-old via Instagram Stories Saturday.
“3rd and final launched,” she captioned the family photo.
In the sweet snap, the “Seinfeld” alum and his wife stood smiling on either side of the freshman, who wore a white tee.
Jessica gave more glimpses of their time together, including “brunch before move-in,” smoked brisket on campus and hot wings with daughter Sascha.

The 23-year-old is a Duke University student herself, and brother Julian, 21, also attends the same school.
Both of Shepherd’s siblings were present at his high school graduation in June.
“Our youngest son Shepherd graduated from high school yesterday,” Jessica told her Instagram followers of the milestone moment.
At the time, the cookbook author revealed the graduate received a flip phone as a gift “in hopes he [would] turn in” his smartphone.
“Many of you have asked if this is his first phone — I wish!” she joked.
“If I knew then what I know now, I would’ve waited until age 14 to give him a smartphone. He got handed down an old one at age 12, for the bus ride to school in the Bronx.”
She and Jerry have been married since December 1999.
The couple became parents the following year when Sascha arrived, followed by Julian and Shepherd in 2003 and 2005, respectively.
The trio have made rare appearances on Jessica’s social media account over the years, including photos from Sascha’s prom and 21st birthday party.
