Joy Behar and Chris Rock were spotted at a Hamptons fundraising stop by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Thursday — where tickets fetched up to $150,000.
Presidential candidate Kamala Harris did not participate in the event, but Walz was a hit with the crowd, we’re told.
The fundraiser was held at the Southampton home of tech couple Stuart Butterfield, the CEO of Slack, and Jen Rubio, the CEO of Away.
We’re told that Rock spent most of the afternoon hanging out with former “Saturday Night Live” producer Marci Klein.
Mumford & Sons provided the entertainment, and the menu included chicken sammies and lobster rolls, we hear.
An attendee described the afternoon as having “high, positive energy.”
That’s a far cry from when President Joe Biden was in the Hamptons in late June right before he dropped out of the race. Biden had appeared in the Hamps following his disastrous debate against Donald Trump that sent his campaign spiraling — and one Democratic insider called the Hamptons appearance a “Band-Aid on a bullet wound” at the time.
Tickets ranged from $6,600 (with limited availability), to $150,000 to host the event.
We hear that tickets at all levels were completely sold out.
Despite the big spenders in the room, Walz was “humble and a genuine dude. He is the nicest man ever,” our source said of the Minnesota pol.
We exclusively reported on the fundraiser ahead of Walz’s day in the Hamptons.
A source told us that Harris skipped the East End event, because the summer season is almost over — but that she will instead appear at a larger NYC fundraiser this fall.
However, Harris hubby, Doug Emhoff, will appear at further events in the Hamptons later this month — including one on Aug. 31 alongside Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, according to a DNC invite obtained by Page Six.
